1/3 cord Mesquite C/S/S ready for another Las Vegas winter. Triple digit temps and single digit humidity makes for some fast seasoning here.
We have a big fireplace in the house. We can warm our butts in front of it, but it doesn't do much to heat the place. What it really does is remind me of how much I enjoyed heating with wood back in NY. I would love to have my Woodstock Fireview here. There are about 20-30 nights a year that we could really use it to take the chill out of the house. About a cord per year would probably do it. One of the best kept secrets of Las Vegas, NV is that it gets cold here. The low humidity and wind make 40 feel pretty darn cold when the sun is down.
It was a combination of a whole lot of stuff that brought us out here. My wife didn't want to do Northeastern winter anymore and there are only a few towns where a stagehand can make a good living. Commuting in and out of NYC was beating the crap out of me. Out here I'm in the car about 30 minutes a day. In NY it was easily 3 hours a day. I miss the East a bit, but the Southwest is pretty nice too. Plus my truck wont rust away to nothing in 10 years.
Yea I don't blame you with an hour and a half commute into NYC either! Double negative in my opinion.
Had to work off some J.O.B. frustration from yesterday. This is the results of it and feeling a little better.
Stephiedoll Good thing you have a job that is frustrating for you. Gives you good motivation to get wood CSS
Swinging the ax works better for stress relief IMO, but i know the feeling. Blew off some life frustration this afternoon with it. Nice looking wood and work BTW!
I don't have any frustrations right now but I do need to get out the saw and buck buck up some of the piled wood I have and start splitting. I don't want to fall behind. I got a good bit ahead and have been coasting the last few years.
I'd have to be real frustrated to do that in these temps. It's the one time I genuinely dislike cutting or splitting.
Furnace kicked on in Minnesota ran for 10 mins . It's that time again . Wood season . Sent from my LGL84VL using Tapatalk
