Im down to about 1.5 cord but that will be changing in the next couple of weeks/months Ive got way to much on my plate right now to scrounge so Im going to be buying my way back into hoarder status. Ive got a guy that delivers with a fair price so this week Im going to give him a call and order some wood. Hopefully after Im done with school Ill be able to get back into scrounging but for the time being I have to buy it.

I'm almost out. Some wood I had along the property line is buried under a few feet of snow. About a half cord of what was very dry wood. All of the wood I had gotten for this season had been free. Now it looks like I'll need to buy some myself. Had to buy oil because it went down to $2.31 a gal. Couldn't argue since a month later it's gone up to $3.30. Knew it was going to happen.

Never been so happy to get a wimpy load of maple (it's maple right?)

Felt good to just get out, working on top of the snow is interesting, but this was minimal saw work as the guy had an arborist take it down. 30 minutes for maybe 1/3 cord, 3 houses down, no complaints.

Finally got the plotting area all cleaned up. Next two years wood is in the shed and a few cord outside that won't fit. The splitting stacking area outside was a mess all fall/winter. Got that all cleaned up and burned a few old pallets and punky rounds. With what's in the shed down here and the old chicken coop I'm sitting right at 16 cord. image.jpg image.jpg

Great job. How big is the carport? Been thinking about 1 as my dad sells them and they start at $600 installed. If I had more time I would build something as a friend of mine has lots of cedar materials. Living in metro Omaha does not help as I may need o building permit. :(

Was able to score some ash (guessing a strong cord or more). My partner Lefty got a trailer load as well but no picture.

Mine is 18x21, with the price I couldn't compete y doing it myself. It would have cost me more to buy materials then to have this built. I love it, really made a big difference for me. I think it cost me just under $800.

Put another cord up. As soon as I finish up this line and another partial line. That will be about 6 cords all together... Then with my other 8 cords at the base of the hill. I'm back to almost 5 years ahead....

No idea how much I have, but should be at least 2 years ahead. I'm trying to get more done, just not enough hours in a week. Good job Chvymn99.
