Nice work to all you guys. There is some serious time invested in all that wood.

I have 10 cord for this season and that will get me through May. I hope! Suppose to be a real winter if it ever gets here. So that makes me a BTU Possesor.

Her and I both work the same job and have our schedules aligned. My mom has been on disability for years and Dad just retired.

No problem. We have both been helping out in the homes on some weekends and taking some days off during the week.

There was some good sizes maple there I was planning to take too, but wrestling that ash out of the brush took a lot more out of me than I expected. After filling two trucks and a trailer, I wasn't in the mood to heap it up.

It's what the locals call the tree dump. People dump trees and compostables out three (in separate piles). The city shreds the trees to make mulch, and turn the compost. Mulch, firewood, and compost are free to anyone who wants to come and get it, but no loaders are allowed for the compost and mulch to ensure no one takes more than their fair share.

Yep, we take great care to leave it in better shape than when we arrived. If we didn't have that place I don't know where the firewood would come from.

If the faithful followers read the whole thread, they will have enough information to go on. From what I understand, OK to send a PM with a screen shot in it. as other have notice any link is blocked. There are rules against things like "farming" members that "can" have negative consequences. Let's hope we give no cause for any of that to happen. Personally, I think that all the good, and all the fun that going on here is going to get the word out and around. :)
