The most we had was 180 cord under roof but now we are down to around 100. Couple of barns sustained wind damage and one burned so we have to wean ouselves down some :) Hate to see it go to waste and rot up. We do not sell so it adds up kinda quick sometimes with deads and falls.

I guess I'm on the right page then! I'm 48 and my Dad's in his late 70's and still going strong. We've always worked together doing wood and kind of a tradition thing now. Used to scrounge for wood in the 70's and now we turn stuff down as it's hard to keep up with our own stuff. Mother nature has been knocking out a lot of wood around here.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, appreciate it. Saw on!

Tuesday I split/stacked about half of that big pile that I cut at parents acreage in June-July.Mix of Hickory,Red Oak,Bur Oak,White Elm & a little Red Elm.About 1/2 cord stacked here, several other older scattered stacks nearby. Dating from June 2011 to April 2014.

Old shed has been full since June 2011,holds roughly 4 cords. One of these days I'll start using from it...
    100% of the wood I harvest year round on their property is standing snags,or deadfall. About 70% of that is Red/Black Oak,remainder a mix of White/Bur Oak,Shagbark Hickory,a little White/Red Elm & occasionally a smaller Mulberry,Black Cherry & Hophornbeam/Ironwood.

Approximately 12 cords in processing area at their place. Here at my place in town not quite 5 cords split/stacked.Dont have much room here in backyard, plus I keep some storage space for larger logs that are for milling, also room to work when using the Granberg mill/roughing out slabs/woodturning blocks.

Feel like a lightweight among you guys.
Finally got this years wood laid out & organized. image.jpg Two rows on the left are for the inside fireplaces & the rest is for the boiler which is labeled species & % moisture . Future wood is on the far side of the garage door including some nice oak branches.

Very nice setup, I use pallets like that too, did you make those out of concrete wire?
