I'm doing great thanks for asking! I've got 8 cord cut and stacked in my yard, which is all of 0.10 acres (yes, zero point one zero, or 1/10th of an acre). And I burned over 2 cords this year. I probably have 4 or 5 years of wood ready to go. And I've got my eye on 4 large tree's laying in the woods across the street (once Maple, one Red Oak and 2 pines). I'm having a hard time convincing myself I have not room for them! They seem to stare at me as I pull out of the driveway each day. I'm not kidding, they look right at me, deep into my soul!!

Some one that remembers their geometry or knows how to Google can figure the volume of a cone. Assuming its somewhat piled so there not huge voids in it.

.10 acres and there woods across the street!!! On a lot that size I would assume another house or 7 or street would be across from you!!

Behind my house to the East, is a 2000 acre National Wildlife Reserve (Werthheim Nat. reserve) which is mostly tidal marshland. Across the street from me is a 1000' acre town Reserve. Lots of downed tree's in there from Sandy still. Next to me to the North is two empty lots, each 1/2 acre lots. So it's basically woods until you hit the next house up the road a bit. To the south of me is 1 house on the next lot, his lot is a more normal 1/2 acre lot. Next to that is the Great South Bay, Fire Island and the Atlantic Ocean. So my lot is kinda odd, but I mays well own 3000 acres, cause that's what I'm surrounded by, I just don't have to pay taxes on it!! ;)

Can't say that my pile ever looks cone like. I like having it up off the wet ground too.

As much as I would love to go to the Ohio GTG, it's a bit too far for me. It will be close to 5 hours just to get to the Iowa charity cut at Waukee.

    Post alots of photos!

I thought I was the only one calculating my wood storage with a spreadsheet, out to two decimal points!!! Are you using my Excel sheet?

My calculations are easy. Currently all my stacks are on pallets 1/3 cord each. So simply walk around and count the pallets and divide by 3. Depending on what gets taken home from the G2G I should have a good pile to stack from there.

I really don't mind if people take some home, I know Dex wants a truckload and were taking a load to an old guy he knows that needs firewood. We should have at least 5 cord from what I have here to cut. Still trying to dig up a little more as well.

Swags, I have all kinds of wood here (standing as well as on the ground) that we could use if things dry up enough by then to go out back and get it. Would need one of you l0cal guys with a serious trailer to haul it to your place.
