6 cords... makes me a borderline cord-o-holic. I am building more racks for more wood though. Which reminds me that I have to get off the damm computer and build the wood racks. Yah. Get my butt in gear... OK, but maybe after just one more beer and a few more posts... must stash more wood... must post more on the internet... good thing I am banned on the other site now... *cheers*

Think I need to take some new pictures. Stacks vary from probably 15-20 cord, give or take.

I'm a low end wood-a-holic who aspires to become a cord hoarder.

I just finished splitting up my "overrun" wood last evening, and finished hauling it over to the "garden pile" this afternoon right after work....Here's a pic of that wood....

    2013-10-04_15-56-33_28.jpg

once I get it stacked, I'll be sitting at around 31-33 cord of wood, which almost solidly puts me at 5 years ahead!!
The stuff you see stacked in the background is this years' burning wood, it's been seasoning for 3 1/2 years. mostly red maple, honey locust, red oak and ash.....with a touch of lilac (yes, LILAC) that I cut that year.....it was some of the biggest lilac bushes I've ever seen, the bases were around 15-16" diameter!!

Going out Monday (if the weather is decent) with Henry and the trail Dad and I built back in 98-- the same one pictured in my pellet thread. Hoping to bring back enough to sink to the next level in this disease.

I'm roughly sitting about 13 cords currently, with a couple more still in blocks (but that will be another day). I had spent the last day and 1/2 moving, splitting, cutting, and stacking trying to organize my property. So I guess that makes me in the BTU Possessor.....:)

My three year old, that should be ready for the stove. Had this against this against the fence for two years with less than desirable results, so this spring I stuck them smack dap in the middle of the wind tunnel. Pretty impressive the difference.

Made a nice morning of it today. Woke up around 8, watched a couple episodes of King of the Hill until I was motivated enough to move. Started breakfast and coffee and got the trailer hitched up. When I came back in the old lady had smelled the coffee and was floating towards the kitchen. Ate on the way to the tree dump and immediately found a large cache of locust.

Found a bunch of standing dead style elm and told Dad to bring out his truck. Got him loaded up and we walked all around the "dump" with my parents deciding what to grab. Mom and the old lady found a little bit of mulberry, Dad and I found a bit of apple that will probably go to the smoker. Mom found a bunch of golden delicious apples still on a branch so we ate a few of those. Old lady picked up a bucket of black walnuts still in husk. Eventually Mom and Dad took off and we cut another large cache of what turns out to be white ash. Threw on some maple branches and headed back home. It was a really good time.
