Front.jpg Side.jpg Wood Fairy made a quick stop today with another gift. There is a little elm and apple that was already there. Guessing it will work out to another cord or so.

I am contemplating hand splitting some of my silver maple over the winter. Seems like a good enough idea.

Wood Fairy? He doesn't stop by my place. I didn't even know there was one. What do I need to do to get him/her to stop by my place and drop something like that? Is there something he/she likes for people to leave?

Maybe you have to put a broken axe or log splitter under the pillow before bed for him to come?

Man. A broken log splitter under the pillow? Talk about a sore neck the next day. :D

A setup of empty stringers in the backyard has always worked for me.

I've got the wood fairy part well under control. What I need to figure out now is how to get the wood elves to come do the cutting, splitting and stacking.

You talking to me OllieOllie? I don't have a splitter, my brother has a splitter and he doesn't want it run when it's this cold.

Why? I could see not running it during a hot spell but in the cold? Shouldn't hurt it at all.....

He says the oil doesn't protect right in the cold.

Interesting theory, I suppose he doesn't drive his car in the winter either? :)

Doesn't use his lawn mower either. Most likely he is tired of me borrowing the splitter, but it's cool-- I am getting one this tax season.

I finally made it to the new site! So can I transfer my wood from the other site or do I need to start over? :)
