Got the cherry cut to length (don't ask about the state of the inlaws yard, but I wasn't terribly comfortable getting everything cut down there) and ash stacked. Next step is to split the stuff I brought home last night and get the elm stacked and everything measured. But now we are getting ready to go to Walmart and the stihl dealer.

Still waiting on a final answer for one of my mystery woods so I know where to stack it, but we are well over 11 cord now.

Still only $145 per 6 scoops.
    3 Scoops $75
or you can stack a truck bed for $85 (and cherry pick the kiln dried)

Its a mix of kiln dried and air dried. You can easily tell the difference too. I end up with about 15-30 (per 6 scoops) pieces that get put into the 2 year pile.

Well, I have over 35 cords cut & split and 2 piles of logs approximately 9' wide, 7' tall, & 25' long waiting to be processed. (I have no idea how many cords they will produce.) I guess this places me a little bit above a novice. :)

You have issues!! You rarely need wood in MO, what ya going to do with it? I had an office in Springfield, MO, was rarely cold from what I remember.

    Well then,
    it must have been spring...
    Thus, warm...
But during the winter, KS and Nebraska insist on sharing their cold fronts with us...
That, and we've not discovered insulation yet...

I'll try to get some pictures of the wood piles (several). Until I get a chance to get a house built, (hopefully next year now everyone is out of college), we are living in a mobile home which we heat with wood & I have a 54' x 70' shop area I will be using wood to heat. Yes, I will be using some wood. Still I have 3-4 years of wood ready to go with the 2 piles of logs to cut & split as I have time. So, I have to say I am blessed.

I assume you need a ladder to stack and unstack? That is a $hitload of wood ;)

Man that's lot of work! I don't like to stack more than 7' high. For a short old man like me getting it back down is too much work. :)
