It's from walmart, meant for an outdoor unlit tree. It's put together like stained glass, but it feels like mica.

Thanks. 1910 Bungalow. All original trim and doors. They were painted white at one time, all stripped and cleaned/poly. The whole room was also gutted at one time. I added the plate rail to hold do-dads 2/3 up the wall and some boxed beams on the ceiling.

What caught my eye in a very subtle way was the lighting. But then as I looked some more, I realized the lighting added warmth but there was something else, then I realized it is the total lack of electronics in the room.

Love it! Brings me back to my childhood.. a very warm room where people talk to each other. :campfire:

I normally do quite a bit of decor scattered around the house. This year I just changed jobs, have had to put down another pet (December 13) amongst many other things. Needless to say I have really slacked. Here is our Norfolk Pine. LOL. [IMG]

Wow! Nice trees guys. I have to go back to the beginning and look at them all again on the larger screen of laptop. On phone right now so I could upload these pics easier. They are not our tree, but still Christmas stuff. Wife and kids have been having fun while Dad was at work.

Our tree is not as fat as the wife likes most of the trees at food lion this year were skinny. We get them there cause there a good deal
This is the first year we have not got one she was happy with. Usually get 2 but cats destroyed one last year so only one this year . And all the ornaments slammed the branches down making it skinnier. That and the 5000 lights or so on it! She; likes the big bottom trees. We both like fat bottoms ;)

FHC Secret Santa present under the tree!!

raybonz. You do realize you have a big hairy heat sponge in front of your stove. Right? Oh, wait. Is that a new experiment? Clever. You are letting the heat sponge soak up the heat, then you bring it into another room where you want more heat and let it radiate it off of in there. Don't you? Verrrry, verrrry interesting.

I'm allergic to them or else I would give that a try. I do have two larger fur balls though. Hmmm.

Holy chit Clemson! I wouldn't even be able to sit in your house. I go over to my in-laws and they have one heat sponge. And I can make there for about two hours. Then I have to leave. That gives us time to visit and have dinner with them though. Then it is their turn to come to our house.

So with seven of them you must really like the radiant heat. Eh? You know, they say if you warm your sheets down by your feet before you get in the bed it for some reason helps you to go to sleep faster. I don't know who frick "they" are, but anywho. You could put some very fine cat nip under your sheets after the sponges had been laying around your stove. Let them smell it, then roll the sheets back and train them to go there each night? Mey. Worth a shot.

Hmm looks like you're onto me! Yes yes that is my new portable heat absorption\dispersion device.. Eventually this device will migrate to the bed and release the heat.. Being fat she has great thermal mass..
