I have thrown dozens of chains and been hit in the hand or leg. Never a cut luckily. I run stihl chain Oregon and woodland pro never broken one either.

the fit and finish on the Richmond is far better than the EQ's. The EQ reminds me of my old Craftsman the Richmond like a Stihl.

Sounds like if you're gonna go Chinese you're better off with the Richmond and it's also a larger saw CCwise.. I did consider the refurbed Husky at one time and still would as they are a decent brand and will be around when/if parts are needed..

Looks like I have to wait till the end of the month to order it though. I'm still waiting for the returned saws to clear.

The problem with a refurbed husky is that if the guy who did it was not care full or cared your better off with a good used saw

Most of the reviews were fairly good from those who bought them. They do come with a warranty as well.. Either way there is a bit of a gamble. The Husky 445 seems like a pretty good value for a little over $200.00..

This one is for the chainsaw races but I am seriously considering 2 of them just to have a good backup saw.

I could have gotten a couple older saws from my Dad's house, a small McCulloch and a larger Homelite.. I left them both there..

I've been playing with Imovie -- never really used it before.. Here's a side by side of the quake as it chews its way through the log vs some other saws.

I personally own a 445. Its an OK trim saw but i would not want to cut much with it. I would not pay the $300 for them new or even $200 for a refurb!! Its better than the quake I bet but still to slow for me. Only reason I have it is a logger busy gave it to me a he said the guys kept having running issue with it. Its got wear but mostly truck wear, and cosmetic.I had a cracked fuel cap and there was water getting in the gas. Runs to well right now for me to assume its scored from water. Its my beater saw!!

But I am spoiled by my stihls. My newest toy.
