It has expanded quite a bit. Remember the creaky floors going into the main entrance?

its become a tourist place but if you are not a maine resident they will drive guns over the bridge to nh so you dont have to pay tax ,take possession in nh no tax ,you still do the paperwork and pay in maine but they have a ffl in nh as well ,you have to like beating the tax.:)

Must be one heck of a tax!!! Esp if it makes the difference in buying a gun and they will drive it across the boarder!!!

i think its a 5% sales tax so thats 50.00 if you spend a thousand ,to me it is worth it ,the drive is a 1/2 mile or something ,just cross the bridge from kittery maine to portsmouth nh , you meet at a storefront in nh go in show the guy your id ,he checks the paperwork and hands you your gun, whole thing takes 4-5 minutes from when you leave the store ,i think its great they have one of there employees doing these transfers all day ,there is a little bit of a delay if the guy is out and you have to wait for him to get back and get your item.

Was very pretty country up there. The only trips out of the deep south i have made are too DC/northern VA, NH/Maine, florida (florida is not considered the south for those of you who dont know) , chicago, iowa and kansas. The NH was my favorite.

My thanks to Paul Bunion for the FHC mug and the Field Guide to Trees of North America. The perfect gift that keeps on giving in so many ways. It educates and entertains me over my morning brew while it helps support our community of wooden heads!
