The dolly in the OP converts to a cart also. I rolled it out the basement door and stacked it up with splits and parked it next to the blue barrel. Worked good.
Any way to save a few steps is better.
    I'll post a pick tomorrow

Awesome use of space. Reminds me of my grandparents coal storage section in their cellar.

    Update:
In the last 11 days I built a partition wall and sectioned off about 1/3 of the basement where the Fireview is and insulated just that section.
I installed a 6" inline blower fan into the duct that feeds the second floor and extended the duct into the heated section and insulated the duct . Wow what a difference. I can now get the first floor up 68-71* and the second floor up to 66-67*

Of course you almost can't stand to be in the heated section off the basement, but now I'm not losing all my heat into the uninsulated walls/basement

And the best part is that I haven't burned one ounce of heating oil in 11 days....and it's been pretty cold here!
And now it's snowin....better go throw a log on the fire ....and maybe break out some eggnog moonshine tonite

When it happens to me it's because I removed a large block of text and accidentally typed before the end quote which is down below the bottom of the visible text box.

When I was a very small kid we had a coal bin that took up one end of the cellar like that.
Still remember the coal truck delivery and the coal going down the chute through the window.
The trim around the window is still all beat up .
