Been plugging away at a good pace which has put me way ahead of where I normally am at this time of year. Finally got one ok pile completed yesterday. It measures 108 feet in length. The other oak piles currently measure 65 feet and 28 feet. This totals 201 feet so far. The last picture is the mixed pile which measures 30 feet. Still have a lot of logs on site and more rolling in.

Jrider, I used a hydro for years, finally added a super split about 5 years ago. I don't split anywhere close to the amount that you do. Looking at some of your splits(nice straight grained oak) I think you could speed things up quite a bit with the SS. Bust up the big ones with hydros, then finish them off with the SS. I wish I bought on years ago.

It’s been a couple weeks since my last post. Gotten a lot of work done and a lot more wood has come to the yard. All of the wood from “this will keep me busy” has been split- 25 cords made it there while 3 more got delivered in rounds to people. Have started another oak pile and I feel like I have logs all over the place!

What percentage is oak? Seems like its your "go to" wood.

Oak is definitely the go to wood around here. Many people are conditioned to only burn that. Most years oak makes up 75-80%of what I sell. As of now it’s about 90% of what I have split but I always cut and split that first since Che it takes longer to dry. I have 40+ cords of mixed logs with more rolling in weekly.

I did a little rough estimate of what I have so far and I come up with 115-120 cords cut and split with another 60 cords of logs on the property. Been working on the mixed pile recently because those logs are in the way of my new ok pile. Mixed pile is up to about 50 feet long so far. And I started yet another one because I just have logs all over the place and it made the most sense time wise.

Looks like the 150 from last Summer will be beat! Always nice to view your operation and piles.
