Never tie my boots up Brad and there has been quite a few times that I forget to put the pant legs over them before sawing.:headbang: :coldone:

And you walk around with your boots untied. How does that not happen all the time?

I used to own steel toes but there is nothing that matches the comfort of a good sneaker.

Cut and busted up some big rounds today. The oak pile is now up to 90 feet long. All of the poplar that was pictured earlier is split and I’ve now moved the small splitter into a new oak pile. 0BCDFCD3-37F5-4718-9B85-9365F4968D52.jpeg 82DC1BB3-1C70-4A1F-B20F-689522E20EA7.jpeg A9E973C5-34D5-4779-995E-9B2C710007CB.jpeg 0E8B1BAA-7683-4D25-867E-FB4F969CE579.jpeg

By George, if you don't hit 150, it surely is because you ran outta wood, not because of lack of effort.

Oh man, I have the supply. I do intend to have some fun and relax this summer so there will be some times with little to nothing getting done

Heat generally doesn’t bother me much. Grew up working on a vegetable farm averaging 70-75 hour weeks with an occasional one closing in on 100 hours. You just have to be well hydrated and lay off the alcohol at night (not always easy!)

Had an issue with my big saw so I picked out wood all under 12”-14” in diameter and used my stihl ms260. Once I got my big saw figured out I cut a bunch from an oak pile. I then came across this big log I had forgotten about. You know it’s big when you feel the need to bust in half before putting on the 500 pound rated log lift! I partially noodled then took a wedge and sledge to finish them off. It was 36” in diameter on the large end.

Is this when you hope to have your 150 cords finished?

So that’s roughly 2 cords a day every day between now & then. Of course not counting what you have done already. This is indeed an admirable goal sir!!! I wish you all the best!!:thumbs::salute:
Please continue to keep us posted on your progress. Thanks!

I do hire out some help splitting so I’m not doing this entirely alone. I already have at least 60 cords done so far
