The march to 150

Got 5 cords out today even though half of the day was spent at my son’s football game. Was warm but very dry. Trying to move 12-13 cords tomorrow.

 

Got 14 cords out today. Was moving along well until the last 2 cord load. It was upper 80’s and I was dragging. Took me around 45 minutes. I also dropped off 2 cords this week putting me at 36.5 cords delivered since last Saturday. Had my nephew helping again today. He was running half cord loads in my pickup while I did 1 and 2 cord loads in my dump truck. Beer tastes delicious right about now!

 

And well earned.

 

Have 49 cords out in the last 3 weekends. Measured what has gone out so far and I’m at about 155 feet. Had 500 feet of stacks. My goal should happen.

 

you can probably heat your place all Winter with just the wood crumbs & shards! What is your goal for next Summer?

It's still too damm hot to be moving wood like this. Most days are in the 80's. Tomorrow will be 93.

 

Edit to 49...I just remembered I had delivered 4 cords to 2 different customers but didn't mark it down yet because their orders aren't complete yet so I'm at 57 cords out.
Judging from how much is left, I will easily hit the 150 mark.
As far as goals next summer....don't do this much wood again!

 

Good deal. We have sold a dump trailer and 2 pick up loads of cooking wood. Oak, hickory, pecan and cherry so far.

 

It is starting to look pretty bare. Think you need to get more wood in and c/s

Today was the first weekend I delivered where it wasn’t at least in the 80’s. It was 40 to start and barely cracked 60. Man did it feel good! Still worked up a sweat in shorts and a t shirt. I got 11.5 cords out and am now up to 68.5. I have just over 40 on order. Taking my 8yo to his first Eagles game tomorrow so no wooding for me.

 

It's so nice not to sweat!

I am up to 87.5 cords delivered in the last 5 weekends which puts me a little behind my 15 cords a weekend goal but the main goal of 150 cords total should definitely be reached. I have 35 cords still on order. Hoping the dry weekends continue.

I’m mostly always that way.

 

Only got 9 cords out this weekend. My kids had games yesterday plus the wife and I planned an early date night which started at 4 yesterday. Today rain moved in much earlier than originally forecasted. Was hoping to go over 100 cords but that will have to wait till next weekend . We did have frost yesterday and the lake was throwing off plenty of heat
