My legs are always the first to tire out each day. It rained all day yesterday so I didn’t work. Think my body liked the break even though my mind disagreed. I cut for about 5.5 hours today and felt great.

I'm to far south in GA. We had a honey locust a long time ago. Glad you got a nice load.

Used to work for a wonderful old farmer back in the 80s. Every young man should have had the influence to spend some time with this man. He was kind, patient, never lost his temper, dry sense of humor. He used to hook an old manure spreader turned wood cart to his John Deere B & tell us to put the hammers & wedges in the cart.
“ Today boys were going to go split firewood just like old Abraham
Lincoln” He has since passed. God how I miss that mans spirit/ personality!
Your comment about wedges & Abraham Lincoln brought all the memories back. Thanks guys. :)
Incidentally I would love some of that beautiful locust jrider. Glad to hear your recovering so well & are listening to your body instead of your mind!!!!:)

Haha. No. I know it’s tough to tell from the angle but there’s an escape plan for the splitter. I’m thinking about 4 more cords should bring these two together then I can move the splitter onto the next pile
