That would depend on if you wanted to get it ported or not. Ported, I'd go 545, stock, I like the 550. Maybe it's just me but I have no trouble telling the difference between the two in the wood. Blind fold chainsaw testing anybody?
What could possibly go wrong with that situation I have had a hard time convincing myself lately to get the 550XP when the 357XP has been running great. I should really have the 357XP ported and see what it is like I also really want the 460Magnum ported
Have you ported very many 357XP's? If so how do they respond and do they get noticeably stronger? My 357XP has a substantial muffler mod and seems to pull hard and I can't help but wonder how much harder it would pull with a nice port job
I'm curious to see what Randy says about your 357XP but I know he builds a helluva 359(the "detuned" version of the 357.) What is it with Husky and the underdog models?
Runs real good. I gotta get my chain right to really show out. This 3/8ths chain has the depth gauges way to low(especially for this shagbark). I have to hold back on it a little. At any rate, it runs great.
Yeah.....hickory ain't good for "showing off" in. That's an impressive run considering the chain, and the wood.
This has me thinking about the brand new "Ash Killing "machine i just bought Its pretty impressive in stock form i might add !
Fuzz you may as well go ahead and do it.....because if you don't, you'll just sell it to me and then I'll send it to him. Then you'll be like Seriously, those are nice saws. Hang on to that one..... and when the new wears off send it to Randy
I'm scheduling June now.......at a rate of about three new saws a day being added. Needless to say......I'll be a year out in a couple more months.
If I wanted to get in line do I have to send the saw now or can I wait until a few weeks a head of time as I'm not sure I want to be without my saw all winter lol
