I would not have had the guts to offer him such a lowball offer! Honestly, I had a 4" S&W 41 caliber handgun that was a handful compared to my 454.

.41 magnum is a powerful cartridge.

Heck my little Taurus .38 ultralight kicks pretty good with +p ammo. All about frame size and cartridge.

Oh yes, those ultralights are a handful with full loads for sure.

I have an S&W Sheild in 45ACP. It is a handful. With it being a subcompact pistol, there is not much to hold on to.

20190313_160654.jpg After seeing a buddy's custom S&W .44 special a couple of years ago, I kind of got the itch for a concealable big bore revolver. Since then, I've been checking pawn/gun shops from time to time. I wasn't interested in a Charter Arms, so I was looking used. A local pawn shop had this Taurus 431 yesterday. They hadn't even put a price tag on it yet. It'll just get carried occasionally.

My kid brought out a gun today. He wants me to buy it. A Colt MKIV Series 70 45ACP. My research indicates it was built in 1977. What’s it worth? Any Colt experts in here? He’s thinking around $1000 and I feel he is high,,,

Is it his gun he is selling to you or a gun someone he knows that is trying to get you to buy? I don't know a price for it honestly just a question I had as I read it.

It is his. He tells me he has five 45 ACP’s. Maybe he wants to turn one into cash?
The one he is trying to sell me is nickel not stainless. And those are Pachmar wrap around grips with a Colt on em.

I traded my Ruger Alaskan 454 Casull to my son for the Series 70 Colt MKIV. I feel he got the better end of the deal but that’s OK he’s my son. To replace the Alaskan I went to LGS and snagged this for $580. I’ve already put 40 rounds through it and discovered it shoots a touch low at 20 yards. Next time I will tweek the rear sight and should be right on,,

Just a cautionary note, if you are using your phone for a camera, you are shutting off the location please. Otherwise, the locations of your hardware is open for the viewing public.

You can turn it off in camera settings.

Open camera and look for settings, Andriod looks like this:

Then scroll until you see this:

Personally, I don't want video taken before and after a pic is taken so I shut that off as well.

Here is the info from a pic taken last night near my mom's place.

I just noticed on my new Motorola G7 when my location is on and I look at the pics in Google photos on my phone if it seile up to look at the pic data it shows it on the map!! I knew it recorded a location if it was on but never seen the map feature on my previous phones. I always leave location off on my phone's unless I am useing it as it uses more battery being on .

I have been wanting a FN FiveseveN for a long time and I finally got one a couple weeks ago. I was about ready to buy a fiveseven several times, but I would always see another gun I wanted on sale. Fiveseven's never come on sale, and recently they seemed to be crawling up in price. I found a good deal on this one, and FN has a rebate, were you get 3 free mags.

This is a Sig P365. This is gun has a great feel for a subcompact pistol. If anyone knows of a deal on a 12 round mag let me know.
