I live in VA currently there is no wait period, just fill out the 4473. I think I could fill one out in my sleep. For some reason I always get delayed. Maybe it is because I don't put my SSN on it. At a place like Rural King you fill it out on the computer but then they still have you fill out some paperwork. I'm not sure with modern technology, why they can't scan a barcode your drivers license to tell who you are for a background check instead of the paperwork. We have a new democrat governor. He said in his campain commercial that as a Army doctor, he saw first hand what an assault rifle did. He wants to reinstate the one gun a month policy. With these recent shootings who knows what else. I saw two very disturbing things today. Dems want to have background checks for ammo, just like the one when you buy a gun. Can you imagine filing out that paper work to buy a $2.99 box of 22LR. Dems introduce bill to require background checks on ammunition sales Citigroup will not let you buy a bumpstock, high capacity magazines, or anyone under 21. Citigroup Acted. Now, Two New Ideas on How Banks Can Limit Gun Sales. I've had problems a couple of times trying to buy a firearm with my BB&T debit card. The one time my account got locked. It really makes me wonder now it the knew I was buying a gun.
I have heard some scare talk about bullets having to have individual serial numbers. This was from one of the cast bullet makers who is no longer in business but not due to lack of business he had so much it was all he did and wanted to do things besides cast ammo in every waking second he had.
What's sad is most professional non Americans I've been around/worked with not only speak but know the English language better than most Americans. For example the most common that make me cringe every time......" I seen" "anyways" "me and John doe" It's one thing to booger stuff writing on a keyboard or a small touch screen or an honest spelling error But using made up words and phrases is worse. If your that worried, I would again suggest a (or several) p80s bought with cash, and to not post pictures of your equipment or talk specifically about any of it. That's how it feels to live in a socialist state.
Worse than all of that, is using the wrong form of your, you're, their, there, they're, two, to, and too.
I'm going to play the devils advocate here, We all are different and have different learning and education skills. not all of us are grammar experts and enriched in spelling as some. spelling and grammar errors do not bother me as I am guilty as anyone. People that go around correcting every ones spelling does bother me. no body is perfect. what the grammar police have in spelling they lack in other things that the ones they are criticizing has over them. None of us are perfect, not all of us can type 150 words a minute, not all of us have comprehensive reading skills. It's just the way it is. also this is a handgun thread, not a spell check thread. Rant over.
That's not what devil's advocate means..... Devil's advocate means being an a hole arguing against the very point you are trying to make..... And then usually letting idiots argue your point for you.... But yes your well meant point is taken and appreciated. Glock is the best. Buried for two years.... GLOCK 21: 18 Years And 200K Rounds - Dropped, Buried, Frozen - The Firearm Blog Ohh bu bu my wheel gun muh Springfield!!!
Tell your Governor, with all due respect....to kiss your doghnut hole. His personal issues should not become the public's issues...supposed to be the other way 'round. I would figure he knows better having served. Notice the "true faith and allegiance" part.
I got a text informing to pic up the "load sheets" from a company's secretary except it read " load sheetz"?? I have horrific spelling errors and not use proper punctuation and often form sentences wrong (writing is not my best subject). Most of it is the people your with or associate with. I deal with mostly blue collar working people and speak like them and try to make them feel comfortable talking to me. I choose not to use big words and use incorrect phrases that I know are wrong IE "me and Aaron are going here", I also am more comfortable saying things that way. All that said I am a very educated and successful person. I hold post bachlor degree, several professional licenses and am a published author. My point is you can't judge a book by its cover. Also some people may not be very educated or book smart but very good at many things they do.
Jeez. I just thought it was funny to see a grammar error in a post complaining about grammar errors. A buddy just got his carry permit and bought a new Ruger EC9. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
Not dogging you or anything, just building. Those who regularly correct Grammer do get old. I often rely on my phone to correct my common mistakes and to add apostrophes , but it often times doesn't do it.
Had to send P365 back to Sig. Failures to fire started at 400 round mark. Have 794 through it. Cleaned striker channel at 600 or so and then proceeded to have 43 out of 200 FTF. Good news is that Sig seems to have good customer service.
