Widened the intake and exhaust as much as the skirt would allow. Just matched the lower transfers to the case and sharpened the bridge a touch. Went gasketless with a squish of .015 (I know I'm pushing it). The AM piston I used has some nasty casting flaws in the piston windows so I cleaned the windows a bit. We shall see what happens! Any pointers and constructive criticism welcome. By the way I'm not looking for work
.015 is really pushing it for squish. I would entertain fabricating a thin gasket for it, maybe a can gasket? A gasket made from a beverage can should put you at .018-.019
I would slicken that exhaust port up some more and use a Busch Light can to make a gasket. Busch Light because that's I prefer to drink.
.015 is very tight. I have "heard" of people running that low. But have also heard of problems running that low.
Nix on the .015 squish, soda cans are about .1193mm. 1mm=0.03937 * 0.11=0.00433 on average. Use 2 gaskets 0.015+0.00866=0.02366. 3.66 ten thousandths over 0.020. You won't notice the difference in performance at .015 you'll be rebuilding the saw when the slug slams into the top of the jug. Typically 1194 adds about 0.001, you could always use a single can gasket with 1194 on both sides which should bring the can up to 0.00633 leaving you wih a squish of 0.015+ 0.00633=0.02133.
