    We get the flu shot every year at our clinic. I got the shot, and still got the flu. I was sick for a week, but maybe the shot mitigated it a bit. I am still having bouts of coughing. It was a payback year for me too. I usually do not get the flu, or even as much as a cold. My wife got the shot and didn't catch it from me, or her kids (she is an elementary education teacher).
