Nothing today, although I couldn't leave this for lonely chunk of mulberry. Didn't have the heart.
The dead wood from my mystree ornamental thread. Came in while I was checking out what was there. DSCF0054.JPG

Found this mulberry kinda buried in a fresh load of brush. Typical of what I find and glad to take it. DSCF0121.JPG DSCF0122.JPG

We finally got the load of ash from post 54 processed Saturday morning.
Small pile of cut offs... 20250920_101439.jpg
Back and side view of rounds pile 20250920_101452.jpg 20250920_101503.jpg
A couple rounds had a small hollow with residents present. They looked thirsty, I gave them a hi octane drink, must have been too strong for them... 20250920_130035.jpg
We got almost 2/3 cord from that load... 20250920_131437.jpg
We have another ash tree from the cemetery clean up that will be added to the shed

Sweet! That was a nice find Jeff!

Finding an ash score with either green or dead with fully good meat is getting rare and I pounce at the opportuntity.

Quick stop this morning. There was a halfway decent pile of mostly hardwood rounds dumped. Problem was they were mostly the wrong length and I had work stuff in the truck. No pics.

Dump run yesterday disposing of some old pallets. Scored a wheelbarrow of splits mostly tulip (I think) with some red oak and some type of softwood I'll burn in the firepit. Also a couple lengths of Goldilocks size sugar maple logs and a limb of fruitwood.

Having a problem loading pics but will when I can.

LOL! I laughed when I saw it. Fresh split and wrapped. Ill keep it here for my pit for now.

I rarely use oak for bundles as its too heavy and takes forever to dry. Last batch of oak I saved had the borers wreak havoc with the bark on splits even though it was in the lean to under cover. I dried it 18 months too.
