    Exactly the reason why nine of ten trees (probably higher) I plant are fruit or nut trees. And I favor natives as much as is reasonable.

    Weren't they the ones planted in cities/towns for their blossoms but no fruit for people to throw through store windows? If so, thought they were ornamental pear trees?
