Finally something! The icing made it especially easy to slide into the car. I'm thinking Norway maple. I'll go back for more in a little while. IMG_20180123_2278.jpg IMG_20180123_30239.jpg

Extra points for having wood AND a car seat in the car at the same time!

Some CSSD (cut, split, seasoned, and discarded) at the dump this morning. I took as much as I could, but had to leave some. By the time I got back there, the rest was gone. Mystery wood, not punky, pretty heavy. IMG_20180201_10259.jpg IMG_20180201_56638.jpg

You could have squeezed a few more on top!

Awesome score when it's even split and seasoned!

It's slowwwwly picking up at the dump. With no snow on the ground, the city and others are cutting some trees. Trouble is, what they dump is whole trunks!

Can you cut there, or is that frowned upon?

I think that would be frowned upon. Think of the liability issues for the town. We're lucky the dump workers let us take stuff as it is.

Dump had a lot of wood this morning...big elm rounds, some poplar, mulberry, and a lot of pine. Unfortunately had daughters stuff from sleepover in the back... only grabbed a few

There ya go. Doesn't need to be killing every time!! Every piece counts.

Funny that there was only the one piece. Must have been more, but whoever took it, had no room for one more.

    Hoard on!
