If you noodle it half way down, and then bang a wedge through it, it can be done. Not saying I'm going to do it, though.

That might work! I would even pick it up again, or you could bring it when you pick up the maple & birch. I was going to list it on Craigslist.
That should split ok. Bark is coming off, especially if you can use Mark's splitter. I've heard it burns hot. We have some drying in the shed now.
LOL I think I was just the recipient of a game of firewood "Not It!" Drops it and tells me she doesnt want it back It will look good in the firepit / maple evaporator stacks.
For the sake of completeness... I finished splitting the wood I brought home from WeldrDave's property last summer. 1.7 cords, sugar maple, ash, black birch, and a little beech. Thanks again, Dave!
How many cords do you have there, Molly? Looks to be much more than my stop there a couple of years ago.
