They could be working south of here on the same Brook which was loaded with ice in that area. I'm thinking if they're going to do something that we'll see some action tomorrow on our end.
Earlier today we went for a ride south of here, nothing going on for work on the Brook in that area and both jams are still there just down the road.
This is on the high end, one inch but the reading comes from the Massena Airport which is well north of us. AccuWeather has us getting a quarter of an inch total.
We're getting a half inch of rain tomorrow after the wintry mix moves through overnight. This will create some problems in our area as well.
It did surprisingly well without tire chains coming up one snow covered hill. I kept the seat belt on just in case, which is something ill try and make a habit of.
Before the third function kit came in last February we used the bucket for plowing and had a bunch of ice on the driveway, the 4540 without chains never had a problem but I was in low using third gear a lot. The chains are nice for that extra grip, maybe after we get the price on the garage we'll think about some but I would rather have a nice new bullet heater for the new garage.
Oh yea it will. That x at .74 is right on top of my azz! Hopefully your town gets that excavator rolling!
They'll need a few excavators, the bridge on the state highway would be on top of the list. All the years we've lived here they only had the excavator down at the Brook once and they never had to use it.
It sure would, nothing going on at the Brook today so that's a good sign......I guess. How are the jams in your area? It looked like on the radar you were going to get hit with some heavy rains.
Heading 91 S at the moment, raining real hard. Black ice, chitty conditions. That area pictured above is still blocked up so it will flood. Other areas hit or miss.
Drive safe, the river across the road is good so the only chance of that flooding is in the spring if we have a hard winter (snow) and then get a bunch of rain with the warmer temps.
On our way back from a ride, the wife noticed that we had a Hemlock leaning into the Brook so I guess I'll take a better look in the next two days. I didn't have the camera so no pictures.
When we came back from town we took another ride past the Brook, what a mess. Tomorrow I'll be heading down with the rhino or truck so I can walk back in, if I can't get the tractor in there then the leaning tree will stay.
They never did anything about the ice jam so it's taking trees down, I think that down below the bridge is worse.
