Great pic of you and your honey Scott. We'll need another pic of your next big tree takedown customer's face when you stroll in with that sport coat on...
Just thinking out loud here and trying to not jump the shark into forbidden territory but......Those of us at jobs that have a no facial hair or limited facial hair policy need to unite. I understand in medical care fields where there is risk of complications of a hair dropped into the innards of a patient there being good cause for such policies. But most jobs are not life and death as that. We can not be refused work on race, creed or color, nor by age, gender, disabilities or anything else nowadays. How big a fight would there be if it was deemed women could only have hair no longer than 2.5 inches and it must be light brown as well as only in a bun for acceptable styling? What if it was dictated that it be mandatory you must pierce your ear to wear companies logo earrings. How about be forced to have finger nails removed to prevent potential bacterial growth or loss of nails? Or forced removal of tattoos to ensure nobody that disagrees with tattoos would be offended. Would any of this be tolerated? So why is it acceptable to force me to modify my body in a manner that directly is opposed to my needs and wishes for my body and is not a direct threat to the life of any other individuals?
Our company used to have a no facial hair rule.. It has since been removed. It took a few people in the company to go to the "top" . I can't grow it, but those that I work with? Sure do appreciate the rule being taken out of the handbook.
