I have seen occasional issues with the MS290 fuel line specifically, it isn't like they are all bad or all bad in one batch, just once in a blue moon there is one that is molded "off-center" in such a way that it is thin right where it gets bent once it is installed.
I have a batch on order from a different manufacturer (maybe, lets face it they all lie so you don't go up the food chain and buy cheaper), I haven't had many complaints on fuel lines at all but they have all been about the MS290.
I buy them a couple hundred at a time from Huztl maybe every three months or so and I only really remember 2 guys asking about the "kink", both were online-forum saw guys, so maybe the typical Ebay buyer never notices, or never speaks up ??
I have a list of parts I keep that are damaged in shipping or that I refunded or replaced for a customer that I send to vendors with my next order and I can say the MS290 fuel line is just a couple this quarter.
I have been following fuel line threads on all the chainsaw type boards and it seems like the general consensus is that all the fuel lines except the new Green OEM lines for Stihl suck badly.
I have hundreds of feed of Tygon just sitting here, heck I am afraid to buy anything, ethanol is a monster

    Dave,

Just my experience with these but I'm 0-3 with the 1127 fuel lines. One 290, one 390 and an 039. You see hundreds of them a year, so maybe only a fraction of them are bad. But when a guy gets three bad ones in a row (all three were separate orders, not through you) it kinda sours his opinion on them. Maybe I'll give it another go the next time around as the OEM lines are spendy.

Yea when I was working on my 390 I got two bad ones. They didnt kink. They just leaked where the grommet went in the tank. Like it was a thousandth or two too small.

Picked up a new cheap aftermarket carb for my 024AV off ebay for $14.15 delivered! Its a Chinese one but it came from Columbus, OH. I just wasn't satisfied with the way that saw ran after rebuilding it. It just had that slight lag on rev-up to top speed. I cut two tanks through it but it didn't respond to any further tweeking. I had two identical Walbro WT-22 carbs for it too, its original, and another off a running 026 that I upgraded to a new Walrbo WT-194. I had even rebuilt one of them. Still, neither WT-22 would give that saw the response I thought it could achieve after rebuilding it. I was going to by another WT-194 for considerably more money, but I decided to take a shot at this for $14.15. It was exactly what the Dr. ordered, gave that 024AV a nice crisp throttle response. There were only 2-3 left when I bought mine a week ago but I see via the link tonight that they are all sold. Guy from "Chainsaw Conservation Components" sold 179 of them. Looks like plenty more of these from other vendors for just a few bucks more!

I bet a stihl with a crudded up carb runs better with a china ebay carb!.
Maybe better since there is probably nothing to do with EPA or anything made into the carb!

Anybody know if this guy is a member here?
Hi Dave, I was wondering if you might be on here! Great deal on that baby and as stated above, its running great so far. The default set was a bit rich on the smaller 024 vs a 260/026 probably, but it adjusted right in there.
