Sound like you're making good progress, though.

Between a few afternoons after work and yesterday, I got about 45-50 logs cut up. Doesn’t look like I’ve made a dent in the pile of logs yet.

Nice pile of rounds. You have a huge pile of logs, it will take awhile.
    Every day counts, though.
    Good work, my friend

I'm aiming to have them cut up by the third week of June. May be a little aggressive but goals motivate me.

No. Just been using the 390. My son is currently on 2 different baseball teams and my daughter does dance 2 nights a week. Trying to find time has been difficult.

So apparently, I am a glutton for punishment. The new log guy who delivered those 4 loads messages me saying he has another load of oak poles available and asked if I wanted it. I told him I haven’t made a dent in the pile he created and mom might kill me if I fill the field up with more logs. A little time goes by and he messages me again with a lower price. I told him not to wake mom up tomorrow!
I cut a dozen more logs today and could see some progress but oh well, looks like I will have to move my target finish date.

You"re not a glutton for punishment Joe...you're a wood hoarder! :woodsign: :dex: :salute:

What percentage did he take off the original price?

Can I help by schmoozing your mom for the extra storage? :handshake: Gotta help a fellow hoarder out.

That's great, I know it's more wood, but actually less work...easier to process than some of that tree service wood.

It's a lot easier and quicker. He wants to know if I can take 1-2 more loads next week. I have a full field but mom doesn't want me taking it all up with wood and neither do the cows.

Maybe he can stack it higher, sure wouldn't turn it down.

Uh I can’t reach! Forks are as high as they go. Going to be tricky getting these down without causing an avalanche of logs.

    Oops...
Yep, may have to knock some down or wrap a chain around the ends of a few and pull them down. Just be careful, my friend.
That's a good problem to have, though

Yeah, it's going to be interesting when I get further into the pile.

My new log guy wanted to deliver 3-4 more loads of oak poles this week. Sadly, I had to decline due to current space concerns from mom. Also, haven't run a saw in a week due to being sick Saturday, Sunday, and part of Monday. To make matters worse, laying in bed so long got my lower back all jacked up and I'm having spasms which severely limit all physical activity. Hopefully I will get some trigger time this weekend if it doesn't rain.

    Well that stinks!
When that happens to me, I take 1 ibuprofen, 1 acetaminophen, do some stretching, then walk backwards on a treadmill for a while...sounds strange, but it works...learned about that in PT.
