Believe it was B-Baller Barry. My 2000 Intrepid doesn't have them, neither did my 2004 Civic (thank God it's gone) I used to commute to work in.

Does very well. Mid 17's for fuel economy. Trailer is 2480 dry. We didn't weigh it ready to roll but we don't cary water in it so I'm guessing 2800 - 2900 with the two propane tanks full and our clothes / food and other required camping gear.

One. Sold the red one after buying this for a $1500 profit after using it 5 years. It was just a bed in a box with heat and ac. 39" inside height. No water or anything.

Thanks. They are different. Smoother than a non suspension mountain bike but heavier. Excellent in soft terrain.

compared to the south no (that see 200k a month +/- ), but check again. there has been a surge in crossings this year on the north compared to previous years.
north numbers for 21/22 are around 3k for the 2 years, this year alone there have been over 7k thru end of July.

Update: I did in fact get the rear differential fluid done. Very easy. Hardest part was getting the bolts out because the guys that did it before totally He-manned them on.

Back to trucks though- has anyone seen the Hilux Champ line that's being introduced for the Thailand market? Looks like a slimmed down Tacoma/Hilux cab with a Kei truck bed a little beefed up. Not quite on "steroids" but looks like it had been working out... that's the best way I could describe it.

I doubt we will ever see anything like that here. There are many cool rugs overseas we don't get here.

The hilux is 50,000 times better than our crap here. We had them over seas in the service. Terrorists can bolt down anti aircraft guns in the beds. Do that to our paper thin junk and you'll rip the bed out. You have to get one 25 years or older to register in America.

More of a real truck than the ones you think of because this has a real body on frame construction.

I've had my maverick hybrid since June and absolutely love it. It's got a bigger bed than a sport Trac, and is almost identical in size to both my son's 2015 frontier, and my old 99 ranger.
    Yeah the bed is 4.5 feet long, but it hauls plenty just fine, can tow 2,000 pounds, and gets up to 60 mpg on my normal commute. 20231207_174937.jpg 20231202_090250.jpg 20231127_094759.jpg 20231127_094857.jpg 20231125_095220.jpg 20231111_144938.jpg 20231111_100541.jpg 20231016_164705.jpg 20231010_091737.jpg 20231004_171927.jpg 20231004_171915.jpg 20231004_171956.jpg 20231004_172009.jpg 20230930_154048.jpg 20230909_172952.jpg 20230906_120558.jpg 20230831_110812.jpg 20230826_155808.jpg 20230822_065844.jpg 20230730_141222.jpg 20230730_141232.jpg 20230725_074816.jpg 20230723_075741.jpg 20230630_073215.jpg

Dragged the load of kayaks up to the Adirondacks, over the mountains of Vermont without feeling out of control, though it did drag my MPG down to 25, the lowest I've ever seen since buying the truck.
I had it in tow haul mode since the trailer was probably 1,000 pounds, the bed was stuffed full of clothes, and there were 4 of us.
In tow/haul, the engine immediately surges power at the slightest touch on the accelerator, reminding me of how my 2012 focus responded to the gas during spirited driving. Normally the hybrid system keeps the engine off or low on rpm until you really stick your foot in it.

Nice. You are where we are with our Ridgeline. Best truck, for us, that we have owned. The "not a real truck crowd" don't understand that many of us don't need to tow 10,000 pounds, go rock crawling or haul 3000 pounds in the bed. Heck, the majority of the "real trucks" I see, with all their capabilities, are nothing more than people movers. We have owned many traditional trucks before this Honda. Many. All from Ford, Chevy and Dodge. From rangers, S-10 and Dakotas up to full size long beds. This is, by far, the best riding, handle truck we have ever driven and the most fuel efficient as well. It can haul more in the bed than many 1/2 ton traditional trucks and its towing capacity is more than we will ever need at 5000 pounds. We might see 3500 at most. Add to all this its winter performance on slippery roads, which is far and above traditional 4x4 systems we have owned, and I don't see us moving away from this platform unless it becomes a problematic pos.

Funny thing is, I never was told my S-10, Dakota or rangers weren't real trucks despite no having near the capabilities of the Ridgeline. Lol.

Based on our experience, so far, with our "not a real truck" we would buy a hybrid version of the Ridgeline if one comes out. After its out a couple years anyway. We try not to buy any brands first year models regardless of the brands quality track record.

Next truck will at least be a hybrid. I have an access cab ‘19 ranger with 6’ bed. F150 is too big. I just hit 30k miles and did an extended warranty to 100k/8 years.

I really need the 6’ bed. That’s been the deal breaker. I’ve also found I prefer awd to 4wd.

In a perfect world I’d put a beefed up Subaru or audi awd system in my ranger, or create an access cab maverick hybrid with a 6’ bed.

Every brand has something I like and also something I avoid. If you’re not into powertrain tech and general research these days it’s brutal as a buyer.

My 05' Duramax doesnt have it either. One tire on my husbands 14' GMC 2500 has a bad one, been on for years now.
