I guess this women had symptoms but goes to work sick, and then goes gets tested, still did not say anything and my daughter and her coworkers got an email. Maybe I am missing something but we have to look out for each other.
Yeah, even before this year, it irritated the heck out of me when people came in to the office sick. A minor cold is one thing, but when you are a snotting, sneezing, coughing, run down, feverish, SOB - my motto was stay the eff home. Most of those people could do their work from home for a day or two, so there wasn't even an excuse. Last year, where I work, they even put up signs at the beginning of flue season "If you are sick, Go Home" .
Just the wife and me this year, we cancelled our usual plans. I'm ok with that, there is time later for socializing with our loved ones.
I see 3 or 4 people wearing masks in this airport. Shouldnt be a worry to anyone about spreading the fun all over the place.
The average person isn't all that bright, hence why to get into my work now everyone has to walk through a temperature checkpoint. Never mind all the huge signs in bold letters coming in the driveway, "If you feel sick-go home and call your supervisor". People either don't care or are completely oblivious. Several people have been bagged so far for walking through the doors at 101+. Or they come in without a fever, then later during their shift they start displaying symptoms and have to be practically dragged out of there because they can't fathom why it's not a good idea for them to stay.
They have stopped taking temps when you walk into the clinic. With temps dropping and people walking in from the cold, temps mean nothing when they are checking your skin temp.
The temp thing is kinda worthless and they said that way last summer yet they are still doing it even at doctors office. I guess it would catch some with a fever but our ducks are colliding.
This is unheard of here. Where the hell do you live ???? Nirvana ???? People not understanding why their being told to go home from work!!!!!????
It's not so much where I live, but where I work. Working for a government contractor union factory attracts two types of people in particular ~ money hungry and uhhhh...dim. Plus the state of Connecticut is a rat race so that doesn't help the situation.
You have no idea how screwed up this is, people are denying that they have it, say its something else.
Please, stay on topic once again! The poll should end the day before Thanksgiving. I hope the thread lasts that long too!
