I think "the grid" will look and perform very different in the future...decentralized so to speak...very large capacity, very far away power generation will get phased out. Tesla is working on technology to revolutionize the electrical grid with distributed solar power - Electrek I just sent the money for a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq plug in hybrid, should be here in a couple weeks. The PV solar company will be here Monday to finalize plans for our array.
