Wow, that is quite the price increase, or is that $160 a typo and supposed to be $260? That would be more along the lines of what GS were around here at HD . They were $270, I got 6 tons in March for $177/ton. I looked at my local HD, and they are $300 now.

I think I saw a sign at the local TSC that early buy prices (order up till the end of this month) at $177/ton which is up from last year. Probably have to pick them up by the end of August. I didn't really pay attention since I have about 8 otns and really can't hold anymore (unless a screaming good deal comes out). Have't been any good deals on CL or FB market this summer.

I have not seen any good deals on wood pellets on Craigslist, being sold this summer.

I myself made a typo on the TSC portion of my post - they are at $277/ton for early buy, not the $177 I managed to type in there

No typo B...I just meant at the end of last season I got 4 ton of GS for between $160-$199 a ton...... It's just a gigantic swing in prices

After going back and reading what you posted, that is exactly what you said but that is not how I interpreted it. I had it in my mind that you were saying the regular price (before fireish sale price) was 160-190  I must not have had enough coffee that morning.

Grabbed a ton of Northeast Forest Products from TSC $299.50 then i had a 30.00 gift card so out pocket was 269.50, still need another ton so probably just grab a ton of green supreme from lowes for 291.00. Its slim pickens in my area this year and anything good is crazy pricing.

Just picked up 2 ton of the Northeast Forest Products in the TSC bags this weekend! Also picked up 40 bags of misc pellets from my oldest son(been in his shed for 3-4 years, not using his stove since upgrading his boiler)

I am hearing that in Europe, people are heading out to the woods to cut whenever trees that they can find
to turn into cord wood. All because of the shortage of natural gas because Russia is holding back.
Predictions are that some Europeans are going to be cold this winter.

A week ago the #1 searched topic in Germany was firewood. In the UK, people are posting their electric and gas bills doublng and trippling or worse. Many pubs closing shop as the couldn't afford the electric bills. Pubs charging 5 quid a pint said the inflation and bills would make a pint 20 quid to be profitable o_O

Oh, and they are shutting down aluminum mills, and Germany steel is shutting down steel production due to lack 9f afordable gas.

/ArcelorMittal to shut blast furnace in German plant as gas prices soar

Been Stupid busy at work at least 6 days a week sometimes 7 so did not get a chance to get any early . Grabbed 12 bags from TSC for my pellet smoker and searing grill at $249. Just grabbed a ton for heating at $300 a ton in new bags , they are also MWP so I'll be loading up on them perhaps stopping on my way home from work before they go up more.

After November elections the price of fuel is going to Skyrocket which will be passed on to the Haulers. Our National reserve will be even lower then the all time low as they are selling it trying to decrease the price of fuel before the elections.

So I have a month to load up on 10 tons of pellets before it gets even worse. Time to pony up and Get R Done !

If there was money to be made for tidy pellet bag stacking, you’d be a millionaire.
