    WWW has something he calls a "spotting scope". It kicks buttocks, has 2 kickstands to steady on (and the mount for tripod if you want one though he just carries it while hunting), bigger than binoculars but a lot smaller than a sky telescope. Also, my father gifted us his telescope for stars (they were paring down to move into a smaller home) and we set that up in here for his tag last season, scouted from the living room for the mountain across the valley from us. LOL and I also saw him over there that day.
