    Maybe a half scoshe
25 to 30F warmer today, in the 50s. Flipped the switch, it spooled up and went right to purr mode.

    Ordered mine today.
    :ups:

It's a touch more expensive ($320+tax), but everything is higher priced these days.

Can't wait to get it setup.

You gonna love dat ting! Now, with the money you saved, get yourself a CBN wheel and you'll never look back.

Will have to look into the proper wheel for my chains.

I do "fair" at hand filing, but this should make life a lot easier, have sharp chains on hand, change as needed. Less down time whilst cutting, sharpen at the end of the day if needed.

3/16" wheel is the one to use. Don't take much off with each pass. If one side is longer or the angle is different, make several passes around the chain.

Grinder came in today. Quick inspection looks good. Figured out where to mount it as well.

Just need to pick up some lag bolts and washers, then get it setup, and learn how to adjust properly.

How do you guys dress your grind wheels?

I'm sure I'll have more questions.

I gotta funnel some of my hobby money to one of these. Can't stop buying saws, porting services and RC cars currently. I have issues. Many.

I'd recommend a back splash to keep the grit from going all over the shopsmith.

Looks good, my friend. Save up a few $$ and order you a CBN wheels. Runs cooler and don't have to shape/dress it. Lasts a long time...

    Good idea.
Don't need the rails getting pitted or gunked up.

I have plenty of excess steel from the polebarn construction that I can use.

    Thx.
