Had no idea what to expect......so made the trip
up there last night and picked some of this up.

Pretty easy. Back up to the door of the place...throw it in the truck. Cut it up
w/the Skil saw. I cut up about a dozen pieces tonight. The boards are 2x8x4'.
I cut them into 1' pieces. I didn't expect it to be this torn up.

It made two boxes of basically....kindling. So, in all I probably
have about 5 boxes of kindling. I'll burn it and see if it is worth it to go back.
Hoarding in the city is like a box of chocolates...…..

Hey, at least it's dry! Are lines on it some kind of adhesive?

    The lines are spray paint.
They are the bulls eye lines.
    They form the target.

The Lord's abundance and bounty usually does not come in sacks of $100 bills.
For me, it comes like this. Wood from the Bad Axe throwing. I scored a truck load
yesterday. It is proving to be pretty valuable. I decided I dont't need to cut it all
up to store it. Just stack it like regular fire wood. I am learning how to get the best
burn out of it. It is saving my old oak to burn at night and IF it should get really cold
and be like winter. It doesn't get much easier and the price is right. Kind of fun to
go up there. It's a pretty interesting business.

What kind of wood is it? And how many boards do they go through in a week? That is a sweet deal. How did you find out about it?

It's 2x10 doug fir framing material.
    It's cut in 48" lengths.
She told me they go through about 100' a day.
    More on the weekends.
It's a FB find. See earlier post above.
I figured up that pile sitting in my back yard
was ~$300 at Lowes. It's 1/3 of a cord sitting there.

Scored another load of axe wood.
This is turning out to be a real boon.

I'll bet they are just as happy seeing it go away. Just need to make a U shaped trough so 2 or 3 feet deep so you can cut a stack of them with your chainsaw easily.

I have a piece that looks like your top picture. It was an old post. What you have is probably white or post oak. Good stuff.
