Right where I want to be.
    Thanks for the reminder, rotti.
I'm more inclined to get all nuclear on the ticks. Kill the hosts, kill the pest. Maybe.
It's theory I'm workin' on.

That is one Skeeter that's thirsty for spring.

Unfortunately, when there's one, there's hundreds.

Me too Dave. We did pretty well last year with prepping our clothes with Sawyer's ahead of being in the woods and along the treeline/stonewalls. No ticks. My issue is my pea brain can't remember to keep clothes sprayed ahead of any outside activity. Gonna try to pay attention more... o_O:rofl: :rofl: :rofl: ... uh huh...
    riiiiiiiiight... :picard:

Not many folks look forward to skeeter or tick season... But fortunately we do have things that will fight them.

We've been lucky the last few years re: mosquitos. For a few Summers we had no leaves in the trees for a high percentage of time with no place for the skeeters to hide during the day which helped keep the populations down. We also had some drought and although last year ended up wet, late Spring and early Summer were dry so we had very few mosquitos again. Used to be, you were only safe to be out in the sun, but out of the shade only, between 10 AM and noon and from noon to about 2, maybe 3PM, when the sun was too intense for the mosquitos to be out hunting. Beyond those hours you pretty much had to be drenched in Deet and even then they'd find orifices that were not tenable.

Due to the fact that I walked around in snow deep enough to cause a snow drift every time I farted, I well believe that once all this winter crap disappears the mosquito population here ought just be out of sight.............................
