Sweet counter top

    Thank goodness the avocado green of the 60s never came back, at least so far.

    I was thinking that is walnut with a simple oil finish, no stain, and the burl in it sure adds to the overall appearance. A live edge backsplash would have really enhanced it in my mind.

    All I want to know is when I split it for firewood do I try to split the length of the counter then cut to fit the stove OR will it fit in the stove if I split the short width of the counter?

    Too hard to split it in that direction because of the grain. :p

    For sure on that green! The fixtures of any color from that era were just as bad too!
