don’t know what year Kevin has for an explorer but we bought a 2022 explorer timberline few months ago and so far it’s very nice. Much better built over the 2016 escape we had before it and the 2.3 ecoboost is in a ton of different cars including the ranger and mustang. Anything after 2019 is rear drive front assist with the same 10 speed the f-150 and ranger have. Got 26 mpg at 70 on a highway trip
Family members own CRV Rav 4 all have been flawless. Bigger guys just think there too small. 2009 CRV 288k on the odometer starting to nickel and dime owner after teenage son drove for a year
I like the Toyota and Honda's. We have a 2010 CRV with 240,000 mile and it has been dead reliable and daughter has a newer Rav4 that has been great for as long as she has had it.
Why all the hate for turbos? I've had 2 cars (230k and 210k), 2 trucks (250k and 110k), a snowmobile and a sxs all with turbos. Almost 1 million collective miles and never a turbo failure. To be clear, none of them were fords. Lol
I recently made 2 trips to RI for work. 900 miles each time in a (different) Ford Edge? (Mini SUV) I felt each one was a good car. Comfortable, smooth, quiet.
I have had multiple Escapes for my company vehic!e. They are just okay but for a guy that loves Ford trucks I would not buy a Ford SUV. Now we are on our 3rd Mazda SUV and have liked all of them for my wife.
I guess are these SUVs that are different than the Ford's? Like a mazda Tribute is the same thing as a Ford escape.
I do not have a problem with turbo, nor is the screen a problem, especially when backing up and double special if hooking up a trailer. Go with your own feelings on vehicles. Wait until next week to shop when the albino rain lets up.
ford and mazda go back way longer than that, they interchanged the ranger and b100's and had the courier truck earlier than that.
They were together long before that. The ford Ranger and Mazda B series were the same. In the 90s Ford escape and mada 323 or 626 or something we're the same. My 1990 ranger had a Mazda transmission in it. Many of the 90s cars shared Mazda engines If I remember right. Ford owned some portion of Mazda, not sure if they still do I don't keep up with that type stuff anymore. Edit: I see you realize that they worked together long before 2000
Ford actually started working with Mazda in the 70’s with the courier pickup. They worked together through the 1990’s and ford was actually majority owner of Mazda. They owned them right up till just before gm and Chrysler were bailed out they sold them to free up cash to make it through the down turn. During the same period they sold jaguar and Land Rover off .
Yes was co development between ford and Mazda, that was when ford was part owner of Mazda. The last Mercury cougar was also the same as a Mazda.
Actually Probes were made by Ford, at their Flat Rock Michigan assembly facility. Ford also made the North American Mazda MX-6 ( G platform) that the probe was made from at that same facility.
Probe when it came out was supposed to be the mustangs replacement glad that never happened even though I’d kinda like a probe gt manual
I remember that...people made such a stink about it they changed plans...maybe they'll do that with the new E-stang too! My buddy had a stick shift Probe GT...drove the stinkin wheels off that thing! (long commute)
