How long have you had the stove? WS has a 6 month trial and return no questions asked policy I believe. I would jump up to the IS. This stove is very underrated according to their specs online. Heating nearly 3200 sq ft of new construction from an insulated, unfinished basement in west central WI on about 4 cords and never see an inside temp in main living area below 70, without even pushing/running it super hard (Red oak, ash, and elm). Don't get me wrong when it gets below zero I have to pack it tight and wake up early to open the air to maintain heat from coals. Obviously your mileage may vary but the IS is an impressive heat monster from my experience.

I do use the furnace fan on circulate and a couple strategically placed fans, one blowing across stove from ledge behind the stove. And my floor plan is a pretty ideal layout so the heat can be pushed right to the stairwell.
