If you want to warm up with out the stove going, do what I just did...
Ignore the sight of 3 cats sitting around your snow boots.
Grab the boots and put them on.
Yank boots off and toss them, as you watch the mouse in the right boot crawl out.

F55 has no ash pan, I also looked at that one and I dont know if I could deal with emptying daily or every other. Right now I empty once every 5-7 days.

Twice the gaskets and twice the assemblies is the bigger issue. But I have no plan on replacing assemblies or cats. Both stoves were temporaries solutions to an immediate need. They are providing that solution well. I am getting every dollar out of the $750 I spent on both stoves combined.

I would never buy a boiler I couldn't burn green wood in. That dry split stuff is too much work and burns up quick anyways. I like burn in' da logs cause they burn slow and give me lots of heat. I got a big boiler my brother in law built out behind the barn so the old lady can't moan about the wood in the house. Built me a loading crane too so now I can fit 48" logs in there.

I figger I cut oh 'bout 20-22 cords o wood this fall for it too. Not too bad eh?

    :p:p:p :D

When I got my boiler I over sized her by a factor of 12. Sure it smokes a little but as long as I throw a few tires in I'm all good.

20 cords? That ain't nuttin. I went through 17 tri axle loads in the last 2 winters.

A friend of mine is a Dr. And gets log loads delivered in the fall, cuts to length as needed and throws it in his CB. You'd think he would know better.
