Do you mind if I ask, any special grooming? I've been using plain old dog brushes, but she's matting. She is in and out of the house all day to the back yard and loves to roll in the dead winter "grass" here and forage through the Caragana bushes. Comes over to get pet and I pick out what dead plant stuff I see but others go unseen till she has a mat. I'm not going to "strip her coat" like the utube videos say but rather just cut them out. Your opinion?

I just cut out knots when needed. Mine were pets and hunting companions, so grooming was only done for their comfort. I never had the coats stripped. I kept beards a little shorter during hunting season, but not around the eyes. Regular old dog comb until knots needed cutting out.
