I don't think the pandemic is ever going to go away. It will resurface from time to time when it's helpful to the people in charge.

If I could somehow reason it out in my own head that the current mess isn't intentional, then I could be more hopeful. Alas, I am not that guy. Sure would be nice to have the ability to put a smiley face on things and trust The Machine though. Probably sleep better that way at least.

Their words and their deeds don't match up...heck, half the time their words don't even match up!

Me too. Yuengling is decent, but had that lil skunk aftertaste to it that my local lager doesn't have. The seasonal yuengling Oktoberfest is much better than the regular ying.

As far as supply chain shortages though, yeah. They are real. I deal with it every day at work.

That's just a microcosm of the state the supply chain is right now. It's all ripple effect and we're the ones riding the waves.

It's sad, but too many people have gotten away from actually washing their hands. Germs spread from dirty hands. I think America has gotten a little complacent and people should wash their hands more. Just the other day at work, I saw a guy leave the bathroom and didn't wash his hands. He came out of a stall, and walked right out past the sinks without washing his hands. Disgusting.

Ewwww and Grrrrr! I used to drive all day and cannot tell you how many times I saw that at gas station and fast food places. Disgusting. I am no pansy but I've used a paper towel to open the restroom door to exit for a decades.

I worked and retired after 31 years in the wastewater industry . Talk about washing your hands often !
You are absolutely correct tho . My wife is a RN and we have some good laughs about how many seconds I’m supposed to wash my hands .

Never had yunglings oktoberfest, but Sam Adam's oktoberfest is their only beer I like. I'll get a box of bottles when that comes out and it'll last me till Christmas or so...

Sounds like my wife. I always tell her she was a germaphobe before it was cool. I guess it rubbed off, cause I use a paper towel to open bathroom doors as well.

I wash my hands and then either:
    1. Use the paper towel I dried with to open the door, then block door open with my foot, hip, or elbow, then swish the towel in the trash.
    2. Use my hip or elbow to open the door (if it pushes open) or sometimes maybe my knuckles, and even then I'll try to make contact on the door in a place that is up high, out of the reach of most (a luxury of being tall) or at least not one of the "common" contact points.
    3. If I have to grab a knob or latch to open the door, and they don't have paper towels, I'll use my pinky finger to make contact...and even then I do it more at the base of my finger/palm...keeping those finger tips clean for things you actually need (or tend to use) your finger tips for.

Def not germophobic, avoiding handles touched by people that just went poop and did not wash is good sense, give her a high five from me :)

Seinfeld germaphobe episode is in my mind now   LOL stapler in her armpits!

We did a little more provisioning today. Really, just topping things off that we regulay use.
Aldi had 4 flats of oats on the shelf....only 3 cans left.
Another place had flour, 50# was $13 before covid 1, $18 during covid, and 24 now.
    Pasta: 20# box for $17.xx.
    Molasses $17/Gallon.
    Quart canning jars, regular, $12.99/doz.
    Red quinoa $23/10# bag....up from $16

I didnt sense much was in short supply or unavailable. But prices have gone up tremendously.
