I did not actually talk to Price, I left a voice message on his answering machine. I already told Price the last time that I was not so happy with Selkirk.
Kim, sorry you are having one problem after another with your whole wood stove set up process. I know it all has to be done right (of course) but do you think you may be worrying/overthinking about it too much and the perfectionist in you is coming out? It'll all turn out for the better; but expect that you may have to improve and or adjust or re-do even after the setup is complete.
Well, yes, that may be true. The tee will work with the dent. However, would one say the same with a new car. Yes, it has a dent but it still transport you from point A to point B. No, one would want that new car without the dent. I brought a new tee and I want it without a dent.
And I absolutely agree with that logic! You must be a patient woman, by the time you get this setup all done, your wood just may be seasoned three years! (Hope not)
Two 3' pieces of my SV Class A were dented. I figure there aren't more than a few of us weirdos who would bother looking closely enough to notice. It got installed and works. Having said that, I'm a function over form kinda person. Hope you don't have to wait too much longer. Did they expedite the new part for you? I would have.
Me too, you should see my set up Heck, you should see my hernia repair...... We stay warm, no matter what the appearance of things.
x2, do not ask what my fathers tummy looks like after 14? (maybe more, I lost count) repairs. Good warning for you Eric
Up here a dent in the chimney means it has to be replaced. Good call getting an replacement Kimberly.
What? I thought I could my just run my belly through the old treadle powered Singer.... not a gooder idea?
If it was a small dent, I probably would have let it go, but it is dented across the whole side as if something kicked it hard. I looked at it from the ground and anyone that saw it would say, "Hey, did you know you have a huge dent in your chimney?" Limbs or hail may end up denting the chimney and that would be OK, not on something new that I purchased.
The replacement tee came today. I checked and no dents so I can get back to installing the chimney, get my hearth pad built, and I will be burning wood
