    Welcome Highlander. I never knew there was a Portland, CT until now! Had to look it up on the map to see where it is! Looks like not too far from East Haddam. We were over that way to have dinner at the Gelston House and see Holiday Inn at the Goodspeed at the end of November. Nice place, and the play was fantastic! Can't wait to go back some day. OK, back to pellets - how do you like those Hamers?

    I'm on bag three of the 2008 Cubex. Forgot how good these puppies roast. Bring on the cold cuss I got dis! Spring might not have come yet outside, But it sure feels like it in here!

    Where's the sweating smiley, I might need it. I think I hear the snow melting off the roof! ;)

    They do have a year thing. Some years were outstanding and then some not so much. So kind of like wine to a point. I wish they got better with age, But about the only way they could get any better with age is with reducing moisture content. I don't think aging them has any effect on ash content.

    Sure didn't feel like spring in my house this morning! -13 outside when I got up. The ice cracking on the roof last night was crazy. Bangs and booms, I swear a couple of them shook the house!

    We have had the stove for 6 -7 years now. ttdberg- funny you mention not knowing about Portland, I hear that alot. The Hamers burn great in my stove, good heat and low ash. My stove does not have much depth in the ash pan so I look for clean burning pellets. I recognize a lot of the names here from the other forum--wondered where everyone went. I never posted much there but learned a lot from reading posts from you guys.:thumbs:

    Running FSU, don't burn as good as GTP. Still keeps the house at 75, but they are less heat and flame height very low. I have 4 tons left :bug:
