The lowest temp I saw over night was - 6* @ 4:30 House @ 70* I bumped the stove up from my normal 4 to 5. I'm really liking the softies with their low ash.
I had -2℉ this morning. Everyone was nice and warm but the stove was working!! Normally this gauge is under 200℉
On high with a continuous feed, I drain a bag of Monties in 13 hours... Feed gate is in lowest position, if I open it full tilt, my high limit opens.
New Member here.. hello all. Harman P61A with OAK. Burning Douglas Fir Blazers from Oregon that I got from of all places HD in December... and at the same price they we're selling the normal stuff.. Also The Energex Golden Pellets 0.5 ash...
Welcome Tullytown. My HD got the Blazers both last year and this year and I jumped on them. Congrats on your score as well.
How the heck are blazers, jumping ct from Pennsylvania to Maine? damm Malloy must be involved somehow ....
No... Kiln dried/0.5 ash... they are only manufactured certain time of the year like seasonal beers at the Energex plant in Mifflintown,Pa. only sold to certain number of hearth dealers.. here then gone once a year.. My dealer get's pre orders of around 200 tons for his stove customers and then cannot get them anymore till following spring. thankfully his wharehouse is half mile away... deff not anywhere near chows.. light to zilch on ash. Iburned couple tons of chows last year... they have come up in the ratings last couple years. Prob HD's better pellets.. But, still a mountain of ash to deal with.. Harman or no Harman.
I can't see how anyone made money on those at HD.. All the way from Oregon? and at same price as the other stuff.. maybe came in by rail?.. I had 5 tons pellets in my basement but was able to make room for 30 bags or so or I would have sold the farm to buy some tons.
