Inject with the Tony’s creole butter and a rub with brown sugar pepper salt paprika garlic powder. It’s the only way wifebeats turkey now is from the smoker. I also wrap in wet cheese cloth and unwrap the last 2 hours or so. I’ve found by wrapping it it keeps the skin from turning to rubber. I also open the vents all the way and crisp up the skin the last 20-30 minutes.

It hurts my heart but I will not watch the Super Bowl this year. My protest of the player national anthem protest includes the playoffs and Super Bowl. When the NFL gets back to the business of playing football, I will tune back in. I mean, if I pulled stunts like that at work, I’d be written up or shown the door; so why are these “protesting” players allowed leeway? I don’t care what their cause is, they could be protesting the slaughter of baby seals but when they disrespect the national anthem I will give zero attention to the cause for which they are trying to bring attention to. Matter of fact I get extra angry, like I will actively work against their cause, up to and including killing those baby seals. But, not to hijack the thread....y’alls menu items sound delicious! Maybe I’ll make some wings and nachos tomorrow-
