    Cheaper, and lighter in color and body.

    Nothing wrong with whatever ferments. What is wrong is not labeling it, as food needs to be labeled.

    Germans several hundred years ago made up a law specifying only barley for the fermentables. Corn syrup wasn't even around then.

    Variety is the spice of life. Just don't try to hide it.
