I think those are junked buses??? When i was talking to one of the businesses next door he told me it used to be a yard for junked cars. Big dealer still in New Haven. After closer inspection it wont be too bad to get that one out and yes, future Sunday morning locust raid!
Probably repeating myself but, when my brother worked in the woods he had a older 4 wheel drive ford pickup the guy had added over load springs all the way around, it could really handle a load of wood. So my brother would bet the guys on the landing they couldn't put enough split wood on his pickup that he couldn't move it. During the day they'd trim butt's off the logs for the right length then, at the end of the day they loaded up his pickup including the interior with split wood. He showed them, lol. he drove that old ford off the landing loaded to the gills with a huge load of nice doug fir all split and loaded, lol. He got a kick out of fooling those guys into doing all the work, then he just had to unload it.
Split the rest this morning. Loaded and moved to storage. Set up pallets and stacked. Over half cord. Rack will hold cord and a half. Over two cord now here. Out of the knotty tree only two logs will need noodling. Surprised me.
