Saturday was my first full day of summer break. I have roughly 70 days to turn this all into splits. Probably have a little over 100 cords here total. Have 25-30 processed with the rest to go. The umbrella really helps on the hot days and I'm loving the tw6. Still has less than 80 hours on it.
Are you sure 100 cord is enough? That's a heck of a pile you got there! Looks like you've got a couple young backs to stack it too!
I looked in the FHC handbook, and it clearly states, in Primer on WB 3, 5:10.2 - “no hoarder may count his splittin’s before they’re stacked.” Just kidding. Thatsalotta wood!!
I love seeing big stacks of wood like that. I can understand why you don't stack the wood though. That would be lots of work for sure.
The last 5 years I have sold 125-130 each year. I only burn the scraps in my owb which ends up being roughly 7-10 cords which is perfect because it keeps the junk wood from building up.
My God man, where the heck are you in NJ? You sure ain't down here by me! There's not enough land to hold that much wood with out an airplane crashing into it! . You rock Brother...
Here’s some firewood math if you’re interested.. Volume of a cone: pi/3 * radius in feet ^2 * height in feet = V cu.ft. Volume of a cord: 128 cu.ft. stacked 180 cu.ft. thrown (Maine law)
